Calling all artists, curators, arts writers, and arts administrators! Immerse yourself in one of the most active, experimental hubs for contemporary art at The Luminary. Absorb, rest, and connect with peers amidst the hidden gem that is St. Louis’s most innovative creative arts district: Cherokee Street–with two sessions offered this spring or fall.

This year, the application is designed to engage practitioners around a creative line-of-inquiry, or the questions that drive our practices. This opportunity includes funded travel, a weekly per-diem, some meals and curated tours set to engage participants’ creative research practices with local experts in the field.

It is not required, but may be helpful, to consider the following research elements as they are engaged in our exhibitions calendar, if they align with your interests:

SPRING (March 27, 2024 - April 10, 2024): migration, emergent narratives, community-engaged projects, global citizenship, institutional collaboration

FALL (Oct 16, 2024 - Oct 30, 2024): textiles & craft, practices of devotion, immigrant and indigenous histories, ancestral knowledge, queer theory
